Child Development Center

The WWU Child Development Center (CDC) provides high-quality early care and education for children ages 12 months to 5 years. We participate in Washington State’s Early Achievers Quality Rating and Improvement Program and are committed to supporting each child’s social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a safe and nurturing environment.

The CDC serves 87 children each quarter and is staffed by a program director, program coordinator, and experienced teaching team. Tuition for student families is income-based and partially subsidized through Student Services & Activities Fees.

In addition to serving families, the CDC supports students pursuing careers in early childhood education by offering opportunities for classroom observations, service learning, practicums, internships, and educational outreach. We are a family-centered program that values family involvement and offers events and connection opportunities for the whole family.

Applications are currently being accepted from WWU-affiliated families and community members.
